NanaBcool

NanaBcool is a Ghanaian/American vocalist, songwriter, and dancer from Columbus, Ohio. Raised in a musical family, Nana drew inspiration from icons such as Michael Jackson and began dancing, singing in church choirs, and performing in different rap groups at a young age. 2012 saw the release of Nana’s first project produced by Columbus outfit Fly Union who has produced for Dom Kennedy, Big Sean, and Kendrick Lamar. After spending time in Chicago, Nana moved to NYC in 2013 for an internship at Complex Magazine. After releasing more standalone singles, Nana released his debut EP 2amCruise, collaborating with producers Simen Sez, Aidan Carroll, and OddKidOut. His debut led to sold-out shows, packed parties, and opening gigs for acts such as Amine and Duckwrth, becoming a staple in the Lower East Side and Brooklyn music scene. In 2019 Nana upped the anti with his debut album Ice Tea, where he collaborated with a wide array of creatives including Jayd Ink, Nic Hanson, and Elijah Fox. Nana has performed with acts like Phony Ppl, Doechii, and Jack Harlow, as well as co-writing “CELINE” and “DAZED AND ABUSED IN BEVERLY HILLS” from Amaarae’s critically acclaimed album THE ANGEL YOU DON’T KNOW. In 2020 he performed live for MTV’s quarantine series on Instagram, as well as being featured during the 2020 VMA awards for Toyota.
